2018 California Southern California Cases (J.C.C.P. No. 4965, Los Angeles Superior Court)
The Thomas Fire destroyed approximately 280,000 acres and destroyed 1,063 buildings. Mr. Sieglock was appointed Member of the Plaintiffs Executive Committee. Sieglock law represents over 1000 individual, business and ranches affected by the Thomas Fire and Santa Barbara Mudslides in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties against Southern California Edison. The case is still in active litigation.
2017 California North Bay Fire Cases (J.C.C.P. No. 4955, San Francisco Superior Court)
Appointed as member of the Individual Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee. Currently represents over 500 households and businesses affected by the North Bay Fires that affected Sonoma, Napa, Butte, Nevada, Yuba and Mendocino counties against Pacific Gas and Electric. The North Bay Fires ignited on October 8, 2017 and destroyed 245,000 acres, 8,900 buildings and killed 44 individuals.
Butte Fire
The Butte Fire destroyed over 850 homes and 70,000 acres. Successfully resolved over $30 million in claims against PG&E. Sieglock Law represented over 140 individuals and businesses with losses due to the fire.
Bastrop Complex Fire
The Bastrop Complex Fire was the most destructive in Texas history, scorching more than 340,000 acres, killing two individuals and burning down over 1,650 residences. Mr. Sieglock represented national insurance companies against Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative and Asplundh Tree Expert Company.
Steiner Ranch Fire
Mr. Sieglock prosecuted the City of Austin Energy Company, Time Warner, and AT&T for starting the Steiner Ranch fire, which swept through the Steiner Ranch destroying multiple homes. The case was successfully resolved in 2016 for $8.3 million.
Starbuck Fire
The Starbuck Fire ignited in March 2017 and is the most destructive fire in Kansas and Oklahoma History, burning over 650,000 acres. Sieglock Law represents insurance companies and ranching operations with losses over $10 million. The case is in active litigation.
